Easter is just around the corner!

Easter is early this year (April 4!), and it’s coming up fast!

We have a hoppin’ display of Easter trinkets, decorations, stuffed animals, and books.

Perfect if you need to help the Easter Bunny find just the right goodies for your child’s Easter basket!

So stop in and take a peek!  There’s some colorful little critters just waiting to see you.

Holiday Happenings at RMAS

Hi everyone!  There’s some fun stuff happening this month at the store:

Pictures with Santa
Saturday, December 12 | 1:00pm – 4:00pm

It’s that time again!  Come down to the store on Saturday the 12th for FREE pictures with Santa!  Your first print is on us (choose 4 wallets, a 4×6, or a 5×7), plus we’ll e-mail you a copy of your photo.  Pictures will be available for pick-up on Tuesday, December 15 (late night shopping day!)

Late-Night Shopping
Friday, December 4 and Tuesday, December 15 | 6:oopm – 9:00pm

RMAS will be open late two nights in December.  Friday, December 4 is the Tree Lighting Ceremony and the Chamber Artwalk; we’ll be open until 9:00pm that night.  Check the Chamber website for more info.
Then, on Tuesday, December 15, we’re having our Late Night Shopping day.  We know that sometimes shopping in town can be difficult for those who work during the day, so we’ll be open from 6:oopm – 9:00pm, along with Donatello’s and Epicure, to give you some extra mid-week shopping time!

Christmas Eve Hours
Thursday, December 24, 9:00am – 4:00pm

We know things can get busy, and sometimes you have to scramble to find that one last-minute gift.  We’ve got your back: we’ll be open from 9am – 4pm on Christmas Eve.  Shop away!

Zhu Zhu Pets coming in January!

For all who have been asking: the answer is YES!  We will be getting Zhu Zhu Pets at the store.  The shipment will arrive in January (perfect timing for spending that Christmas money the kids got from Aunt Maybel or the grandparents!).  We’ll be sending out an e-mail blast and updating Facebook/Twitter when they arrive (Don’t get our e-mail newsletter?  Click here to sign up!).  You will get the e-mail the day the boxes arrive, and they’ll be out for sale at opening the next day.

Unfortunately, we will not be able to take special orders or layaway requests on the Zhu Zhu pets.  Once the e-mail has been sent out, they’ll be sold on a first-come, first-serve basis.  So make sure you’re either signed up for our E-mail Newsletter or following us on Facebook or Twitter so you’ll know when they’re here!

Where’s the Webstore?

If you came here expecting to find our online store, don’t worry: you aren’t looking in the wrong place.

Recently, regulations for online stores have changed, and certain information must be visible about each item (any warning labels, age restrictions, etc.).  These new regulations come into effect in March 2009.  We are in the process of moving our Anacortes store, and that has kept us pretty busy around here.  As a result, Read Me A Story Online will be temporarily offline until we are able to update all of our product descriptions to fulfill the new requirements.

We are still able to ship items out, so if you know what you want you can always call in an order and we’ll ship it for you.
